Jeanette Pierce is the Founder of City Institute, an organization that develops thoughtful, engaging civic tours of Detroit. Through her work, she teaches people context about the city’s history, challenges, triumphs, and indomitable spirit — all in a joyful, uplifting bus tour around the city’s many neighborhoods.

Unsurprisingly, Jeanette knows a lot of people. I worked with her to design and write a newsletter targeting her personal network of hundreds of people with a goal to build awareness for the work she does, celebrate her accomplishments, and bring in new business from the people who follow her.
